# Create a Custom Field
**1. Add a Custom Field**
Example: Work order custom fields
* Click the **Add custom field** button
* Enter in your custom field name
Example: Customer ID
* Click the **Add** button.
* The custom field will now be added to your work order.
* You are now able to enter a value into your custom field.
Example: EXAMPLE 123
