Re-orders

The Re-order feature enables merchants to maintain inventory levels by setting minimum and maximum stock thresholds for each product. When stock falls to the minimum level, you are able to easily create a purchase order to restock the product. This system ensures optimal stock levels by preventing shortages and minimizing excess inventory.

Manually Setting up Re-orders:

1. Set up minimum and maximum values for your products

  • Access the Products section of your Shopify admin.

  • Select the product you'd like to set up minimum and maximum values for.

Example: Dress Pants

  • Scroll down until you see the App blocks section.

  • Click + App block and then click on the reorder-point-admin pop up button.

  • Once you click the reorder-point-admin button, you'll be able to enter the product's Location, Minimum Stock Level, and Maximum Stock Level

Example: Minimum Stock Level: 5, Maximum Stock Level: 20

  • After entering your details, click Save Configuration

Tip: If your product has variants, locate the Variants app block and select a variant. Repeat the same process as above for each variant.

2. Navigate to the Purchase Orders module

  • Access the Purchase Orders module of your Shopify admin.

  • Click the Re-orders button.

  • Here, you will be able to view the min and max points for the product you just created.

  • From here, you can select the product and easily create a purchase order by clicking the Create purchase order button.

  • The quantity of stock ordered in the purchase order will be determined by your minimum and maximum stock thresholds, as well as your current inventory levels.

Importing a CSV file:

Tip: Importing a CSV file will override any SKU's existing min and max points that you manually created.

1. Find your product's Inventory ID and Location ID

  • To find your product's Location ID and Inventory Item ID , access your Shopify Admin's Products section.

Example: Military Soldier Statue

  • Scroll down and find the Inventory app block.

  • Here you can view the SKU (Inventory ID) and the associated locations of the product (Location ID)

Example: Inventory ID = monarch2, Location ID = My Custom Location and Shop Location

2. Access the Purchase Orders Module

  • Once inside WorkMate, find and click on the Purchase Orders module from the main dashboard.

3. View the Re-order page

  • Once inside the Purchase orders module, click the Re-order button.

  • On this page, you can switch between your available store locations to view re-order items specific to each location.

4. Populate the CSV template

  • Click the Import CSV button

  • Here you will be able to download a CSV template by clicking the link.

  • Access your recent download history and open the CSV template.

  • Enter the product’s minimum and maximum quantities, along with the Location ID and Inventory Item ID

Example:

  • After entering your product details, save the file.

5. Import your CSV file to WorkMate
