Employees

Employee permissions are restricted using a role-based system. Roles and their permissions can be configured through the settings page.

For stores that are not on Shopify Plus, staff members must log into WorkMate for the first time they enter. Once they have logged in for the first time they will be visible inside the employees module.

1. Open WorkMate from Shopify Admin

• Log in to your Shopify store and go to your Shopify Admin Dashboard.

• Navigate to Apps in the left sidebar and select WorkMate from the list of installed applications.

• Navigate to the Employees module from the main dashboard or sidebar menu.

2. Review the Employee tabs

• Review your employee tabs.

• In the All tab, you can view all your employees.

Auto-migrated roles:

• If you have previously set up custom permissions per user, they would have automatically been converted to roles: Auto-migrated role 1,2,3.

• The different Auto-migration numbers represent your previous different permission levels of the employees.

• You can change the role names in your settings.

3. Configure Employee Settings

• To configure WorkMate settings, click on the settings page link at the top of the page.

• Here you can update your employee roles.
