# Serials

<mark style="color:blue;">Serial numbers in WorkMate help track individual products and ensure accurate inventory management. Merchants can easily create and assign serial numbers through the Serials module or directly within Purchase Orders. This streamlined process enhances product tracking and simplifies inventory management.</mark>

## Serials Tile:

**1. Access the Serials tile on POS**

* Click on the Serials tile from the main dashboard.

**2. Add a new serial**

* After clicking the Serials tile, you'll see a page that is populated by products that have the "True" metafield marked in the Line Item Serial Numbers "More Action". * Click the product you'd like to add a serial to.
* Click the **+ New Serial** button to add a serial number.<br>

* Enter your Serial number, Location, and optionally a Note.

* Then click **Save**.&#x20;
* A confirmation prompt will appear.

* You will then be able to view the serial you created on the main page of the Serials tile.&#x20;
