Cycle Count Overview & User Interface

1. Access the Cycle Count Feature

  • Open Shopify POS.

  • On the POS home screen, find and click the Cycle Count tile.

2. Explore the Cycle Count Overview Page

  • View the List of Cycle Counts.

  • The main page will display a list of all existing Cycle Counts. Each entry represents a previous cycle count done at the store location.

  • The overview page includes several important UI elements.

  • Cycle Count Entries: List of all previously created Cycle Counts.

  • Cycle Count Details: Each entry typically shows the status, location, and the employee associated with the Cycle Count.

3. Search and Filter Cycle Counts

  • Search Functionality.

  • At the top of the overview page, you will find a search bar. You can use this to search for a specific cycle count by typing in keywords related to the product, employee, or cycle count name.

  • Filter Cycle Counts.

  • You can filter the Cycle Counts based on:

Status. Filter by different cycle count statuses, such as Draft or Completed.

Location. Filter by the store location where the Cycle Count was performed.

Employee. Filter by the employees assigned to the Cycle Count.

4. Sort Cycle Counts

  • Sort by Creation Date or Due Date.

  • The Cycle Count list can also be sorted based on the created date or due date.

  • Sorting can be done in either ascending or descending order, depending on your preference.

  • This helps in organizing and prioritizing Cycle Counts based on when they were initiated or when they are due for completion.

5. Open a Cycle Count

  • Select a Cycle Count.

  • To view more details or make changes to an existing Cycle Count, simply click on the Cycle Count entry from the list.

  • Review Cycle Count Details.

  • Once opened, you will see detailed information about the selected Cycle Count, including:

Products in the Cycle Count.

Quantities counted.

Assigned employees and due date.

6. Manage an Opened Cycle Count

  • Adjust Products or Quantities.

  • If necessary, you can add products or adjust quantities directly from the detailed view of the Cycle Count.

  • Save Changes.

  • After making any adjustments, be sure to save the changes so that the inventory count is updated accordingly.
