Creating a New Cycle Count
Demo:
1. Access the Cycle Count Feature
Open Shopify POS.
On the POS home screen, find and click the Cycle Count tile.

2. Start a New Cycle Count
You will be taken to the main overview page displaying existing Cycle Counts.
Click New Cycle Count.

Enter the:
Location of your store.
Due date of your cycle count.
Notes (eg. internal reminders).
Assigned employees.

Import products to your cycle count by clicking Import Products or Open Camera.
Import Products button

Search for products using the SKU, a barcode, product ID, product title using the search bar, or manually scroll and search for the product.

Import Vendor Products button:

If you're conducting a cycle count for products from a specific vendor, you can simply select the vendor to focus on here. This will automatically include all products from that vendor in the cycle count.
Showing products for all vendors button:

This option allows you to manually select individual items from the vendor of your choosing, instead of automatically adding them all to the cart like the Import Vendor Products button.

Open Camera button

The Open Camera button activates your device's camera, allowing you to scan product barcodes directly.
3. Perform the Cycle Count
Conduct the cycle count by verifying and recording the inventory quantities for each product.
Select the product you are currently counting, and use the + button to adjust the count as you tally the items in your store.
Example: The Collection Snowboard: Hydrogen, Quantity = 6

After you're finished counting the quantity of that product, click Save.

Repeat this process for your remaining products in the cycle count.
4. Save the Cycle Count
Once you have added all the necessary products and configured the cycle count details, click Save.
Your cycle count will be assigned a cycle count number for easy identification.

Review and Edit if Necessary.
You can go back and edit the cycle count at any time by reopening it from the Cycle Count overview page.
5. Apply the products
To apply the products, click the Actions button, where you will be redirected to another page.

Click the Apply button.

You'll be redirected to a page that shows an overview of your updated inventory count.
Click the Apply count button.

The status of your cycle count will now change to Applied, and the new inventory levels in Shopify will now reflect the quantities counted during the cycle count.
